What We Do
Every vision needs the resources and the road map to become reality. Let’s work together to expand your reach and deepen your community impact.
SERVICES
While we specialize in arts clients, we also have extensive experience with nonprofit organizations of all types including human services, education, healthcare, and more.
F+H Partners provides fundraising assessments and planning so organizations can build effective, customized programs. Our discovery process aims to deeply understand internal operations, development structures, and leadership perspectives through confidential interviews. This informs data-driven recommendations.
We take an action-oriented, collaborative approach - working hand-in-hand with your team to target key capacities needed to expand fundraising. Our engagement typically contains two phases:
Phase 1 evaluates current operations, builds the prospect pool, and creates a roadmap identifying staffing and infrastructure needs.
Phase 2 conducts training, completes portfolio assignments, and assists with rollout.
Ultimately, we deliver strategic, customized recommendations on:
• Multi-year fundraising strategies connected to goals
• Development best practices
• Organizational and staffing models
• Process refinement opportunities
• Prospect pool analysis by capacity, propensity, and affinity
• Prospect management guidelines
The result is a targeted plan equipping you to maximize fundraising's effectiveness and impact.
Our campaign planning generally leverages four key activities:
• Assess overall readiness through interviews with stakeholders on fundraising history, resources, and roles needed.
• Research prospects and volunteer leadership to identify candidate networks, interviewees, and campaign committee members.
• Develop and refine the preliminary case for support to compellingly convey the vision, plans, and impact while answering key questions on who, what, why, how, and when.
• Conduct feasibility interviews to gather input on campaign priorities, feedback on goals and messaging, assess potential leadership, and accelerate cultivation.
We will then prepare a formal report with findings and recommendations on:
• Refined campaign messaging
• Proposed structure and phasing
• Likely gift sources and ranges
• Leadership pipeline
• Initial budget
The result is a strategic roadmap for campaign success based on stakeholder perspectives and tailored to your organization's unique needs and culture.
Our strategic planning approach ensures all perspectives are heard while empowering stakeholders to make values-based decisions about the future. We've found many processes get stuck rehashing current issues or proposing impractical ideas. We facilitate collaborative, focused sessions driving shared understanding and commitment.
Session 1 - Frame the situation through open dialogue, grounding analysis, and articulating the reason for planning.
Session 2 - Articulate and prioritize core values to create a decision-making framework. Define roles and responsibilities in final choices.
Session 3 - Evaluate goals against values, capacity, and focus. Finalize strategic priorities and say no to misaligned opportunities. Outline success measures and tradeoffs.
Session 4 - Develop the transparent plan, coach boards on utilizing it for governance, and ready stakeholders to champion and operationalize it.
The outcome is a focused roadmap rooted in shared values and commitment, with clarity on decision drivers and individual responsibilities moving forward. This equips your organization to stay aligned amid complex choices.
We want your organization to embrace a transformational mindset around fundraising and growth. That means setting bold visions for what you could achieve with the right donor support, asking for investments at the level truly needed to realize those big goals, and building long-term donor partnerships centered around shared values versus short-term transactions.
It will require making space for intentional cultivation by integrating donor outreach into regular calendars and habits. Staying continually connected to supporters through authentic relationship building that energizes them around your mission. This fosters a culture of sustainable philanthropy across the organization.
Our relational approach to coaching goes beyond chasing volume and small gifts to targeting carefully selected corporate and individual prospects who can become engaged partners in your work. It's about determining shared priorities with those donors, crafting unique value propositions that resonate with them, and tying their interests to customized opportunities for transformational investment in your mission. Rather than sporadic proposals and scattershot asks, we focus on helping you build genuine, long-term relationships where the initial gift marks just the beginning rather than the endpoint. This leads to partners that provide expanding support, guidance, and connections over many years of fruitful collaboration.
The key is embracing an ambitious vision for growth, centered around your mission and donor relationships versus monetary targets.
